ھمیشہ مشکلات میں دوسروں کا مدد کیا کریں
سب سے قریب جو جہاز موجود تھا اسکا نام سیمسن (Samson) تھا اور وہ حادثے کے وقت ٹائی ٹینک سے صرف سات میل کی دوری پہ تھا۔ سیمسن کے عملے نے نہ صرف ٹائی ٹینک کے عملے کی طرف سے فائر کئے گئے سفید شعلے (جو کہ انتہائی خطرے کی صورت میں فضا میں فائر کئے جاتے ہیں) دیکھے تھے بلکہ مسافروں کی آہ و بُکا کو سُنا بھی تھا۔ لیکن کیونکہ سیمسن کے عملے کے لوگ غیر قانونی طور پہ انتہائی قیمتی سمندری حیات کا شکار کر رہے تھے اور نہیں چاہتے تھے کہ پکڑے جائیں لہذا ٹائی ٹینک کی صورتحال کا اندازہ ہوتے ہی بجائے مدد کرنے کے وہ جہاز کو ٹائی ٹینک کی مخالف سمت میں بہت دور لے گئے۔
یہ جہاز ہم میں سے ان لوگوں کی نمائندگی کرتا ہے جو اپنی گناہوں بھری زندگی میں اتنے مگن ہو جاتے ہیں کہ ان کے اندر سے انسانیت کا احساس ختم ہو جاتا ہے اور پھر وہ ساری زندگی اپنے گناہوں کو چھپاتے گزار دیتے ہیں۔
دوسرا جہاز جو قریب موجود تھا اس کا نام کیلیفورنین (Californian) تھا جو حادثے کے وقت ٹائی ٹینک سے چودہ میل دور تھا۔ اس جہاز کے کیپٹن نے بھی ٹائی ٹینک کی طرف سے مدد کی پکار کو سنا اور باہر نکل کے سفید شعلے اپنی آنکھوں سے دیکھے لیکن کیونکہ وہ اس وقت برف کی چٹانوں میں گھرا ہوا تھا اور اسے ان چٹانوں کے گرد چکر کاٹ کے ٹائی ٹینک تک پہنچنے میں خاصی مشکل صورتحال سے دو چار ہونا پڑتا لہذا کیپٹن نے اس کی بجائے دوبارہ اپنے بستر میں جانا اور صبح روشنی ہونے کا انتظار کرنا مناسب سمجھا۔ صبح جب وہ ٹائی ٹینک کی لوکیشن پہ پہنچا تو ٹائی ٹینک کو سمندر کی تہہ میں پہنچے چار گھنٹے گزر چکے تھے اور ٹائی ٹینک کے کیپٹن ایڈورڈ اسمتھ سمیت 1569 افراد موت کے گھاٹ اتر چکے تھے۔
یہ جہاز ہم میں سے ان افراد کی نمائندگی کرتا ہے جو کسی کی مدد کرنے کو اپنی آسانی سے مشروط کر دیتے ہیں اور جب تک حالات حق میں نہ ہوں کسی کی مدد کرنا اپنا فرض نہیں سمجھتے۔
تیسرا جہاز کارپیتھیا (Carpathia) تھا جو ٹائی ٹینک سے 68 میل دور تھا۔ اس جہاز کے کیپٹن نے ریڈیو پہ ٹائی ٹینک کے مسافروں کی چیخ و پکار سنی۔ صورتحال کا اندازہ ہوتے ہی باوجود اس کے کہ یہ ٹائی ٹینک کی مخالف سمت میں جنوب کی طرف جا رہا تھا، اس نے فورا اپنے جہاز کا رخ موڑا اور برف کی چٹانوں اور خطرناک موسم کی پروا کئے بغیر مدد کے لئے روانہ ہو گیا۔ اگرچہ یہ دور ہونے کے باعث ٹائی ٹینک کے ڈوبنے کے دو گھنٹے بعد لوکیشن پہ پہنچ سکا لیکن یہی وہ جہاز تھا جس نے لائف بوٹس پہ امداد کے منتظر ٹائی ٹینک کے باقی ماندہ 710 مسافروں کو زندہ بچایا تھا اور انہیں بحفاظت نیو یارک پہنچا دیا تھا۔ اس جہاز کے کیپٹن کیپٹن آرتھر روسٹرن کو برطانوی نیوی کی تاریخ کے چند بہادر ترین کیپٹنز میں شمار کیا جاتا ہے اور ان کے اس عمل پہ انہیں کئی سماجی اور حکومتی ایوارڈز سے بھی نوازا گیا تھا۔
یاد رکھیئے، ہماری زندگی میں ہمیشہ مشکلات رہتی ہیں، چیلنجز رہتے ہیں، لیکن وہ جو ان مشکلات اور چیلنجز کا سامنا کرتے ہوئے بھی انسانیت کی بھلائی کے لئے کچھ کر جائیں انہیں ہی انسان اور انسانیت یاد رکھتی ہے۔
